I have always been the kind of person who would drag myself to work no matter how sick I was. It always seemed to me that not going to work was an admission of weakness or something. My opinion started to change last year when I had a case of bronchitis that lingered for months and months and would not go away. Upon reflection I realized that the whole thing could probably have been avoided if I had cut if off at the pass back when it was just a teeny cough.
Yesterday when I started to feel icky -- sore throat, achy head, etc etc it only took about 15 minutes for me to decide it was time to pull out the study questions and take advantage of one the sick days Campbell County so graciously had granted its employees.
Now, after spending a blissful day with a book and my electric blanket, a lot of Airborne and some colloidal silver, I feel better - still not 100%, but better. Hopefully I am better enough for my day tomorrow, when I will be at school from 7:30-ish until after midnight, since I was nutty (and gullible) enough to say yes to Ben A.'s cute little face in my room asking if I would chaperone the dance tomorrow night. It should be fun, or at least something vaguely resembling fun.
I miss my electric blanket. Gotta go!
