Prom!
Yes, I am almost thirty. No, you did not misread the title. One of the perks if my job is that I get to go to the prom every year. I did not go to my own senior prom, so there is something very cathartic about going to someone else's, particularly since I get to go have fun without dealing with the pressure that goes along with the prom when you are in high school. It was a lot of fun, and of course it goes without saying that I looked fabulous.

prom is one of the few things i miss about teaching - last year i went late, in jeans, and requested footloose and danced with my students. they didn't quite know what to do with me. :)
