I am such a slacker.

It's a Jeff Corwin day. We were supposed to be doing oral presentations, but about 10 kids from my first period came up to me this morning begging and pleading for an extra day, so I decided that mercy was an essential quality for teaching and delayed the presentations until Monday. Before anyone gets too impressed with my benevolence, keep in mind that a video day means a much-needed break for me too. Grading oral presentations is a lot of work for me, and I was not particularly looking forward to it.
In other news, the play is going well, despite the fact that we have not really been able to rehearse this week. Everything has been crazy busy, so rehearsal time is at a premium.
Speaking of rehearsal, the band had its first practice in the new facility. The building is really beautiful, and the sound system is great, but it is really different, and the adjustment is going to be difficult. There are definitely still some bugs to be worked out, but I think it is going to be really great once everything is running smoothly and everyone is adjusted.
I will leave you with a picture taken the other day during practice... When Good Puppets Go Bad!
