My Kingdom for an SUV

The good people at Disney have lied to us. Disney World is not, in fact, the happiest place on Earth. That title rightfully belongs to Ikea.
I've only been once, and my biggest regret about that trip is my unwillingness to mortgage my firstborn to be able to spend more. I am not really a furniture person, as my house can clearly attest, but Ikea is different. The stuff is cute, and cheap, and exactly what I would use to furnish my house if I had unlimited money.
Aesthetic appeal notwithstanding, Ikea serves a very practical purpose for me -- they make big sturdy bookshelves that don't actually require me to mortgage my firstborn. While I may not have a lot of furniture, I do have a lot of books. I probably should get rid of some, but I cannot bring myself to part with them. A lot of books means a need for a lot of bookshelves, which brings me full circle back to Ikea.
We have one reasonalbly nearby -- only two hours, and if it weren't for one tiny problem I would have gone months ago to get the stuff I need. The tiny problem -- my tiny car. I can't fit one bookshelf in the teeny Toyota, nevermind the 4 that I need.
So, anybody with an SUV wanna go to Ikea? I'll pay for gas, and I'll buy you lunch. The meatballs are delicious.

oo! oo! I LOVE Ikea! The meatballs are good, but the flower shaped cookie-wafers are better.

IKEA!!! I've been about five times in the last six months (and it's a two hour drive) I am obsessed! I bet you can fit a bookcase because of the flat packing. I fit an entertainment center in our car no problem. Good luck with your search.. Do you have the new catalog? It's faboo!
