Unexpected gifts

When you buy a house in January, you take a certain chance that the yard will be hideous come spring. I had a pretty good idea that would not be the case with mine, but I will confess to certain amount of nervousness once things started to warm up.

No nervousness was necessary. A few samples of the stuff I have in my yard...

Note: Please forgive the picture quality, the light was not fabulous, nor is my camera.

Those are gorgeous! You are so lucky to have things in such full bloom already. They are calling for snow up here tomorrow...YUCK! I had a few blooms when we got back, but not much else has happened. Have fun in your new garden this summer!

Erin that's so great! No one did landscaping before we moved in..and we haven't yet either, but that would've been nice. You're so lucky!

Oh how inspiring....FLOWERS...I love flowers, we have zero in our yard. Enjoy!!!! Put some in vases inside so you can see them all day long.

I was admiring those on Flickr and wishing both for a yard and the warmth to grow them. We had a similar Spring surprise from our place in Nashville so I know the delight you're feeling.
