90 minutes.

Auditions today. Lots of fun kids, a little king frog to warm up, and then we started running scenes.

My scenes.

It wasn't really real before today -- I knew I had written a play, obviously, but it felt imaginary somehow; a play is not a play until it's characters come to life, borrowing breath from actors who read their lines and step into another life.

Amazing.

Erin! This is so exciting! I'm sorry I haven't given you feedback on your work yet - I haven't had a free chunk of time to sit down and give it the time it deserves. Use the rehearsals to really work with your show - don't be afraid to mold it and shape it as you see it come alive on stage. That's the fun of working with your own words. I'm really proud of you! I wish I could see the show!
